About

Hi! I’m Gretchen.

I’ve spent most of my life in Texas, with the exception of my formative years in Tennessee and my college days in Colorado. And although I’ve traveled far and wide, Austin is where I call home.

I studied journalism at the University of Colorado at Boulder, then continued my education to receive a master’s in business administration with a focus on digital media management from St. Edward’s University. I worked at Austin Fit Magazine for over three years and held the position of editor for two. Additionally, I’ve edited and contributed to Nashville Fit Magazine, Get Onnit Magazine, Austin Woman, and Founding Austin.

When I left the magazine industry, I accepted a role as marketing manager at Picnik, where I oversaw the public relations, social media, digital advertising, and field marketing departments. After two years in the field of consumer packaged goods, I returned to what I enjoy most: writing, editing, and content creation.
